Entry Level CNC Grinder Machinist, Chandler Operations

Great opportunity to learn precision machining on Aerospace precision components.

I. Position name: Entry Level CNC Grinder Machinist, Chandler Operations

· Machine Operators install, maintain, and operate machinery to meet dimensional conformity. In-depth training may be required in order to prepare a Machine Operator for their daily duties.

II. Job profile minimum qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ideal on going technical education or 1 year degree finished

· Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

· Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.

· Proficiency with hand tools.

· Attention to detail.

· Analytical skills

· Ability to work and communicate well with others.

· Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

III. Job description:

You will be responsible to operate grinding CNC equipment, during start up, responsibilities could also extend to other functions as required.

· Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle

· Cleanliness and order in work place, responsible to keep 5S and TPM current.

· Maintain production on machine, feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines

· Inspection of own work (Visual and dimensional) with use of hand tools, gages and metrology equipment (comparator, height gages, etc)

· Troubleshoot problems that may occur during shift

· Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

· Maintain activity record

· Deburr own part

· Basic Mathematical calculations

· First lot runs (development)

V. Environmental & Physical Requirements

· Candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.

· Typically requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-12hours each day), ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
