Quality Control Coordinator - Part Time

Job Position Summary: Responsible for the quality and process control of all heat treat processes. Conducts audits and assist in trouble shooting and problem solving.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in quality auditing and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to read engineering drawings/documents as well as understand revision/configuration control.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, AS9100 and ISO9001
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and test blocks.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task,
- Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees.
- Time Management Skills
- Organizational skills
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Required to pass annual eye exam by licensed optometrist.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Reviews work orders for accuracy and completion with Heat Treat Manger to determine pricing strategies
- Nonconformances, corrective actions, MRB and NADCAP audits with NEHTS supervisor
- Reviews all specification for the latest revisions quarterly
- Reviews all certifications as received
- Reviews and verifies weekly SAT’s, PM’s, BI-monthly/quarterly Tus, and instrument calibration reports
- Handles day to day quality issues and works with Heat Treat Manager to develop business improvements and strategies to meet sales goals and achieve the business plan
- Ensure inspection records are kept and properly completed to assure compliance to ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.
- Reviews and scans work orders into the system.
- Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
