Summary: Responsible for the assembling of individual parts into a finished product or component, following blueprints and instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong attention to details
- Organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Time Management Skills
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Experience in assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
- Knowledge or hand and power tools
- Knowledge of fastener installation and torquing processes.
- Basic troubleshooting Skills
- Experience in Aerospace industry preferred.
- Ability to work with close tolerances preferred
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines.
- Conducting inspections to verify the integrity and performance of assembled parts, identifying defects, and reporting them.
- Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble parts, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Notifies management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborates with other assembly line workers to meet production goals.
- Fills out production paperwork and inspection procedures as required.
- Reports any problems or discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
- Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
- Perform more complex assembly tasks, potentially involving multiple parts or subassemblies.
- Assisting with maintaining inventory, checking stock levels, and tracking materials
- Interpreting and analyzing schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to guide the assembly process.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts
- May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
- May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
