Kitting/Material Control Coordinator

Responsibility & Authority:
Personnel with the job title listed above have the responsibility & authority to perform the following functions & employment requirements listed below.
Brief:
The process of storing and tracking finished goods along with details for the purpose of kitting prior to assembly and production operations. Responsible for material control through cycle counting, inventory control, and prioritization of materials.
Functions:
- Review documents to determine specific details and quantities needed to perform and assembly
- Prepare and identify Kitting boxes
- Record distributed details on the appropriate forms
- Record incoming details and store appropriately
- Forward ready to assemble Kitting boxes to Production Control for distribution
- Communicate with other departments regarding status of parts
- Responsible for site wide cycle counts and accuracy
- Leadership responsibility for kitting, shipping, receiving, and deliveries
- Assist production control
- Responsible for preparation, shipping, and receiving of Mexico parts
- Trains and instructs other employees as directed
- May perform other duties as requested
Employment Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience preferably in aerospace
- Must be able to read and adhere to Job Traveler instructions for purpose of kitting appropriate details and quantities required
- Computer experience with Word and Excel and accurate data entry skills
- Must be able to count parts with accuracy (weight counts used for smaller details)
- Reliable transportation
- Great attendance record
Job Demands-Physical:
Standing up to 30% of the time. Lift maximum of 40 pounds – some heavy parts.
