Looking for hands-on work where you can solve problems and take pride in quality repairs?

King Quality Roofing is hiring a Repair Assistant to support our repair and service team in the field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn exterior home repair skills, and works well as part of a team.

As a Repair Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced Repair Technicians to help complete roofing and exterior home repairs, prepare materials and tools, support job site setup, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist Repair Technicians with roofing, siding, gutter, and exterior home repairs
  • Help set up job sites, ladders, tools, and materials
  • Support repair crews with basic repair tasks and general labor needs
  • Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment
  • Maintain clean and safe job sites throughout the workday
  • Document completed work with photos and notes as directed
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
  • Learn repair techniques and field service processes from experienced technicians
  • Support additional field service needs during busy periods

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Start your day at our Bohemia office with the repair team
  • Travel with technicians to job sites throughout the area
  • Help prepare materials, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with repairs and job site cleanup
  • Learn hands-on repair skills from experienced team members
  • Wrap up the day by organizing tools and preparing for the next job

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Basic experience using hand and power tools is a plus
  • Construction, roofing, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
  • Driver’s license preferred but not required

Growth Opportunity

Many of our Repair Assistants grow into Repair Technician roles over time through hands-on experience and training in the field.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build skills, learn the trade, and grow with the company.

Location & Travel

  • This role requires coming to the Bohemia, NY office daily prior to heading to job sites
  • You’ll travel to job sites throughout the area
  • We welcome candidates from surrounding areas

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

Compensation for this role may be provided as hourly pay, salary, commission, piece-rate, bonuses, incentives, or a combination of these methods, depending on the position. The “Target Hourly Compensation” listed reflects our good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this role, based on factors such as experience, skills, candidate geographic location, state the job is located in, historical trends, and business needs. Actual earnings may vary.

Where required by law, we also provide a general description of benefits and other forms of compensation offered, which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee programs.

 

Target Hourly Compensation:

$22 - $24 USD
