Role overview:
Kiva is seeking an Email Marketing Operations Associate to help support the execution and continuous improvement of our email and lifecycle marketing programs. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle & Email, this role will help build scalable operational processes that enable the Growth & Lifecycle team to execute increasingly sophisticated programs efficiently and consistently.
Working closely with Growth & Lifecycle, Product, Creative, Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering teams, you'll support campaign execution, marketing operations, and process improvements that help deliver personalized communications to Kiva's global community.
This role offers a strong foundation in marketing operations, with opportunities to grow over time into broader responsibilities across campaign management, marketing operations, and lifecycle marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

Campaign Execution & Lifecycle Operations
- Support the intake, planning, building, QA, scheduling, and deployment of campaigns across multiple stakeholders.
- Build, maintain, and optimize complex workflows and lifecycle journeys using Iterable.
- Execute A/B tests and support experimentation initiatives.
- Conduct thorough QA across content, links, personalization, segmentation, rendering, and user experience.
- Support the development and maintenance of reusable templates, workflows, and operational processes.
- Maintain project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables within Asana.

Audience & Marketing Technology Support
- Build and maintain audience segments, dynamic lists, suppression logic, and targeting rules within Iterable.
- Support personalization, frequency capping, and segmentation initiatives that improve user experience and list health.
- Help audit, document, and improve customer data available for lifecycle marketing.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to improve customer data quality and lifecycle capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, segmentation, and triggered messaging programs.

Reporting, Documentation & Optimization
- Monitor and report on campaign and lifecycle performance metrics.
- Document campaign learnings, experiment results, audience logic, and operational best practices.
- Share insights and maintain documentation that improves team knowledge, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support testing, research, and analytical initiatives that improve customer engagement and retention.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, targeting, and operational processes that improve marketing and team effectiveness.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency/fully fluent in English.
- 1–3 years of experience in email marketing, technical production, lifecycle marketing, CRM administration, marketing operations, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Iterable or a similar marketing automation platform (e.g., Braze, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Experience supporting campaign execution, marketing automation workflows, audience segmentation, or QA processes.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to operational excellence.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and marketing performance metrics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly and troubleshoot issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Interest in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, marketing operations, retention programs, or CRM.
- Passion for Kiva's mission and expanding financial access around the world.
