We are looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager with a history of focusing on user outcomes, and rapidly delivering reliable, scalable systems as we bring our next-gen platform to the world. 

This is an opportunity of a lifetime for someone who wants to be at the heart of the AI movement to better humanity. As an Engineering Leader you’ll be working directly with our VP of Engineering, our CTO and team of world-class engineers to build new user-facing features and enhancements, and to scale the core Kizen platform with our users’ growing needs.

In this dynamic role, you’ll lead our teams responsible for:

  1. Platform Engineering - the heart of everything we do is our extensible data platform and configurable UIs.

  2. Automations and SmartConnectors - RPA and ETL/data ingestion capabilities that are needed in any complete enterprise solution.

  3. Ecosystem - building integration surfaces for 3rd party or citizen developers to integrate their tools with Kizen.

  4. BI & Reporting - gaining insights and understanding of your data with charts, dashboards, pivot tables, and scheduled reports.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure smooth development by keeping developers enabled, informed, and unblocked
  • Build and maintain healthy and supportive relationships with team members while driving excellence
  • Clearly and quickly communicate deliverables and any delivery timeline changes with all key stakeholders
  • Meeting technical issues head on, troubleshooting, and quickly creating resolution plans to rapidly address acute customer impact, while also planning for long-term success
  • Mentoring engineers to strengthen their skills and ensure solutions are implemented as architected within the time budgets allotted
  • Evaluating and recommending process modifications
  • Encourage full participation in development processes
  • Lead scrums and other agile ceremonies
  • Partner with QA manager on release shepherding
  • Help field support escalations and triage errors
  • UAT on technical features to ensure all stakeholder needs are met

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater required in Computer Science (preferred), Information Technology, or related field (Physics, mathematics, engineering)
  • 12+ years of professional development experience (Python and React preferred)
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, both leading teams and interfacing with other departments and customers
  • 2+ years of enterprise-scale infrastructure deployment
  • Experience deploying and optimizing cloud-hosted applications (AWS preferred, Kubernetes Preferred)
  • Exceptional collaboration, organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a quickly changing environment
  • Driven and self-motivated with a track record of finding and solving difficult problems
  • Talent for hiring fantastic people and consistently getting the most out of their skills

The base salary range for this position is [$180,000-$220,000]. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer generous equity and benefits packages.
