Boston, MA

At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying.

This is a 6-month (July 13th-December 19th, 2025) paid co-op experience out of our Boston, MA headquarters.

As a Security Trust & Compliance Co-op, you will assist in the daily operations of the team as well as support key projects to achieve our 2025 goals. This person will work closely with the larger Information Security team and will collaborate with other Klaviyos in Information Technology, Product Management, Legal, Software Engineering, and more.

The Risk & Trust team is responsible for both understanding Klaviyo’s internal risks and implementing key security measures to protect our customer’s data. We also build trust with our customers by communicating the strength of Klaviyo’s security, privacy, and compliance practices.

Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to gain experience at an established software-as-a-service (SaaS) company and will gain experience in a unique, in-demand, growing field that encompasses aspects of risk, security, compliance, and data privacy.

How you will make a difference:

  • Create security awareness and training content to deliver relevant, targeted security training to our employees.
  • Conduct gap analysis on data privacy frameworks (e.g. SOC 2 Privacy, ISO 27018) and work with stakeholders to implement privacy controls in our product and processes.
  • Assist in implementing newly acquired tooling to automate key Sarbanes-Oxley IT General Controls (SOX ITGCs), such as quarterly user access reviews.
  • Support the Security Trust & Compliance team in daily operations such as responding to customer and employee security inquiries and investigating control monitoring findings

Who You Are:

  • Are able to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder teams on both larger projects and individual tasks

  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results cross-functionally and in a timely fashion
  • Are curious about data privacy and cybersecurity
  • Have at least one previous internship or co-op experience

Why co-op at Klaviyo?

Set up for Success: Before diving into individual teams and projects, all students will complete Base Camp - Klaviyo’s week-long onboarding experience at our Boston HQ.  Base Camp provides focused time to learn about the ins and outs of Klaviyo, our product, and to get to know other co-ops. This robust first week ensures all co-ops join their teams fully prepared to dive into project work and make an immediate impact.

Co-ops make an Impact: Our co-ops contribute to mission-critical projects for Klaviyo. No matter what team you join, you’ll be making a direct impact on our product and/or customers.

Our Boston Office is fun!: Co-ops stay fueled with free snacks and drinks, take breaks with each other over a game of ping pong or a round of golf in our simulator, and relax in our speakeasy (yes you read that right!).
