FLSA Classification: Exempt or Non-Exempt
Travel: This role will be expected to travel for Knit marketing and community events as required, likely as frequent as once a month. Note, Knit US does a US All Team Summit in-person once per year.
Location: Knit is NYC-based and US-remote friendly with team members across the country. Our standard business operating hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST.

Overview

Knit is looking for a strategic field and community marketer to build a real, ongoing relationship between Knit and the market researcher community, not just run a good conference booth. This role owns our conference presence (using an already-repeatable playbook), designs and runs regional roadshows, and builds an always-on virtual community for market researchers, so Knit's brand presence in the industry doesn't reset to zero between events.

This role will partner closely with Marketing Operations & Campaigns and demand generation team on logistics like lead tracking and follow-up, but your mandate is building community, advocacy, and differentiated in-person/virtual programming, not campaign execution or systems administration.

What You'll Own:

  • Conferences & Regional Roadshows

    • Execute Knit's conference presence using our established playbook; reliable and on-brand, without needing to reinvent logistics each time
    • Plan and run regional roadshows in partnership with Product Marketing, featuring thought leadership, product showcases, customer stories, and networking
    • Adapt programming to each local market, no copy-pasting a generic or US-centric format into other regions
    • Design in-person touchpoints specifically aimed at reaching Fortune 500 / target ICP accounts, not just general conference foot traffic

    Community & Content-Led Programming

    • Build and run an ongoing virtual community for market researchers; a reason for our audience to stay engaged between events vs just a mailing list
    • Design content-led community formats anchored in Knit's proprietary data and strategic topics, beyond generic conference dinners and panels toward something differentiated
    • Partner with product marketing and thought leadership owners to source the data and points of view that anchor community programming

    Customer Advocacy 

    • Build and nurture relationships with customers who can serve as advocates: speakers, references, case study participants, and community contributors
    • Identify and cultivate customer stories to feature across roadshows, the virtual community, and other programming in partnership with Product Marketing

    Cross-Functional Partnership

    • Partner with the Marketing Operations & Campaigns Manager on lead capture, tracking, and follow-up logistics for events
    • Work with sales and CS to identify which accounts and customers to prioritize for advocacy work and in-person touchpoints

Who You Are:

Required Skills & Experiences

  • Experience building or running a community program (virtual community, membership program, always-on advocate network), not just executing one-off event logistics
  • A track record designing content-led event formats, comfortable using proprietary data or a point of view to drive engagement rather than defaulting to standard panels/dinners
  • Field marketing experience running programs across different regions, with real cultural/local sensitivity rather than one reused template
  • Customer marketing or advocacy experience: comfortable building 1:1 relationships with customers and turning them into champions
  • A strategic thinker who can operate with some ambiguity and build new formats, not just execute a checklist
  • Comfortable partnering with an operations/campaigns function on logistics without owning those systems yourself
  • Bonus: Experience in the market research / insights industry, or familiarity with its conference circuit (Quirks, IIeX, etc.)

What Success Looks Like

  • The virtual community has active, returning members between events, not just event-day attendance
  • Conference execution runs smoothly off the existing playbook, freeing up time for strategic programming rather than logistics firefighting
  • Regional roadshows feel impactful and relevant, and are a successful Knit owned initiative
  • Target ICP accounts have real in-person touchpoints with Knit that build authentic relationships
  • A growing, visible pipeline of customer advocates: speakers, references, case studies

Salary

In accordance with New York pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $160,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s level, experience, and qualifications upon joining Knit.
