Chief of Staff
About Knit Health
Knit Health is building a novel clinical foundation model to improve the way healthcare is delivered. We combine expertise in AI with deep clinical knowledge to develop safe, trustworthy systems that improve care, expand access, and reduce waste. Knit is led by a founding team from the University of California Berkeley who have developed a novel AI architecture which learns to reason like physicians. We’re now closing the loop and using our novel foundation model, together with frontier clinical LLMs, to build a next generation clinical intelligence platform for providers. We are venture backed and have partnered with multiple US-based health systems and data providers.
Why this role
The Chief of Staff works directly with the CEO and senior leadership to keep the company's most important work moving, driving high-priority initiatives that cut across product, science, operations, and partnerships. To achieve this, the Chief of Staff will act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping drive the company’s most important priorities forward.
This role combines high level strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment across teams, streamlining operations, and maximizing the effectiveness of the executive team. You will work closely with leaders across science, engineering, product, business development, and operations in a fast paced, early-stage environment. This means you’ll work at both high altitude (helping shaping and sharpening strategy) and low altitude (removing roadblocks, managing cross-functional projects, and making sure decisions stick). You’ll also be trusted to handle sensitive, complex topics that require excellent judgment, adaptability, and cross-disciplinary fluency in healthcare and AI.

- Support CEO and executive team in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic partnerships with research, analysis, and presentation preparation (pre-reads, briefing decks, coordinated follow-ups).
Culture & Team Effectiveness
- Help build and maintain a high-performance, mission-driven culture.
- Lead internal communications, all-hands planning, and key company events.
- Act as a confidential sounding board for leadership and team members.
Minimum qualifications
- 2-6+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, or Chief of Staff roles in a high-growth company or comparable experience (experience in healthcare, health tech, or AI not required but helpful).
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for simplifying complex concepts.
- High EQ and ability to build trust quickly.
