The Marketing Localization Specialist is a highly motivated, strategic thinker who drives end-to-end localization projects for KnowBe4 Marketing initiatives across multiple products and markets. This role requires someone who can make confident decisions, take ownership of projects, and adapt quickly in our fast-changing environment. Reporting to the Snr. Marketing Localization Manager, you will proactively manage localization projects from conception to completion with minimal supervision.The Marketing Localization Specialist leverages project management tools to establish and optimize localization standards, streamlining processes for both internal teams and external vendors to ensure efficient, high-quality content localization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead simultaneous localization projects across multiple languages, managing priorities and resources to meet aggressive deadlines
  • This includes requirements gathering, planning, budgeting, execution, quality checking, and maintenance of translation assets across KnowBe4's diverse marketing portfolio: digital content (websites, emails, SEO), collateral (datasheets, guides, white papers, research reports), creative materials (graphics, ads), etc…
  • Independently manage all vendor relationships including: selecting appropriate localization vendors, handling project initiation, maintaining clear communication throughout projects, SLAs, and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Track and document all localization projects, including status, costs, and key timeline milestones in order to generate comprehensive reporting for the department.
  • Oversee linguistic QA cycles, diagnose underlying causes of persistent problems, and execute remediation and preventive measures.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and language service providers to address questions or conflicts related to file discrepancies, content inconsistencies, terminology alignment, and translation quality standards
  • Ensure new translated content is added to the relevant marketing platforms regularly
  • Maintain and update existing translation assets to ensure the highest quality and translation accuracy
  • Take ownership of assigned translation projects through all phases, demonstrating initiative and accountability

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in localization project management and language quality assurance
  • Fluent in reading/writing in another language other than English
  • Experience in Marketing and/or web content localization preferred. 
  • Project Management or Localization Certifications are a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at problem solving
  • Experience managing complex multilingual content projects across multiple vendors
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Skilled in translation management system technologies
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and competency
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Fluent in reading/writing in at least 1 language other than English
  • Experience with project management software (Monday.com, Smartsheets, etc…)
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • HTML/CSS
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-starter and a critical thinker
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Able to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000 - $75,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
