The Automated Testing/QA Lead is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, development, and execution of the organization's automated testing strategy within a complex Enterprise SaaS ecosystem. This role involves establishing best practices for end-to-end integration testing across critical business applications, including Salesforce, Netsuite, Workday, and Marketo. The Lead will focus on building robust frameworks to validate data integrity, business workflows, and API integrations orchestrated by platforms like Mulesoft, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality, interconnected systems. A key responsibility is to drive innovation by incorporating AI and Machine Learning tools to accelerate the creation of acceptance criteria and to optimize the development and self-healing maintenance of automated test cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks from the ground up, primarily using Java, C++, or Python, and tools like selenium, Copado robotic testing and UiPath
  • Champion the use of AI-driven testing tools to enhance testing efficiency, including leveraging AI to assist in refining and generating acceptance criteria from requirements and implementing self-healing/adaptive test maintenance capabilities within the automation frameworks.
  • Design and execute complex end-to-end automated test scripts that validate critical business processes spanning multiple integrated SaaS applications (Salesforce, Netsuite, Workday, Marketo).
  • Develop automated tests specifically for API and integration layers (e.g., Mulesoft), validating data synchronization, transformation, and error handling between systems.
  • Oversee the QA team, including task assignment, performance reviews, and professional development, ensuring alignment with project goals and engineering standards.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and immediate feedback on code quality for both custom code and platform configurations.
  • Define and track key quality metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders on testing progress, defect trends, and overall product quality across the SaaS landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with application owners, development, and integration teams to understand platform-specific customizations, data models, and integration requirements.
  • Drive the adoption of Quality Assurance best practices, including shift-left testing, performance testing, and security testing within a cloud-based, integrated environment.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for development and QA teams on automation tools and techniques specific to SaaS platforms, including emerging AI-driven tools.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance, particularly those applicable to enterprise applications like Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings, with a focus on cross-system impacts.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of automated test failures and collaborate with development and integration teams to expedite resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Lead or Senior role, managing and mentoring QA engineers.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing end-to-end integration test automation frameworks in a multi-application environment.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and source control (e.g., Git).
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
  • Deep knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and tools as they apply to software quality, including using AI for test generation, acceptance criteria analysis, and maintenance/self-healing of test scripts.
  • Required: Proven experience with automated testing tools and techniques for Enterprise SaaS/ERP/CRM systems.
    • Salesforce: Experience testing Sales/Service Cloud, custom Apex/Visualforce/LWC, and configuration.
    • NetSuite: Experience testing modules, customizations, and workflows.
    • Mulesoft (or similar ESB/Integration Platform): Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured) and building automated tests for the integration layer.
    • Workday/Marketo: Familiarity with testing core features, configurations, and data flows to/from these systems.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools for validating REST/SOAP services.
  • Strong SQL skills for database and data integrity validation.
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with specialized testing platforms like Copado Robotic Testing for Salesforce/SaaS applications.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
