Software Engineer Intern (Hybrid)

This position is a hybrid role open to candidates in the greater Tampa Bay area. This position will require the intern to work in our Clearwater, FL office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday).

Dates of Program: August 24, 2026 - November 13, 2026 (12 weeks)

The Software Engineer Intern will assist in developing new and exciting products for KnowBe4’s customers, collaborating with other engineers in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be a contributing member of the team, helping to bridge our capacity gap and accelerate long-term strategic projects. Your responsibilities will include:
●    Developing minor features and enhancements for the RTC application.
●    Contributing to API integration development.
●    Writing unit tests and actively working to improve code coverage.
●    Participating in code reviews and learning software development best practices.
●    Assisting with bug fixes and general maintenance tasks.

What You'll Bring (Required Skills)

We are looking for motivated individuals with a strong foundation in software development:

●    Strong foundation in frontend frameworks.
●    Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
●    Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
●    A strong problem-solving aptitude.
●    Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
