The Sales Engineer role at KnowBe4 is a developmental position focused on mastering the intersection of cybersecurity and technical sales. Initially, you will operate in a mentorship capacity, supporting Senior Sales Engineers to learn the nuances of our product suite and the sales cycle. As your technical proficiency grows, you will transition to directly engaging with SMB customers, attending meetings and conducting product demonstrations. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact during the Proof of Value (POV) process, managing implementation and optimization while having direct access to senior team members for high-level technical escalations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a baseline knowledge of all KnowBe4 Products
  • Understand the value proposition of KnowBe4 products and can portray in meetings with internal colleagues and clients
  • Deliver product demonstrations for customers to a good level
  • Work with SMB prospects to implement and configure KnowBe4 product(s) for POV
  • Shadows and assist senior colleagues with their POVs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve baseline technical problems with KnowBe4 solutions that arise in the sales process
  • Provide technical support and input to Sales team when required
  • Record and track POV activity in Salesforce

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 year degree or technical degree preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role is a plus
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with M365 and Exchange Online
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Highly organized and result-oriented
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Can demonstrate technical troubleshooting and analysis ability
  • Can demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect and commitment
  • Naturally curious and agile, with a proven ability to rapidly absorb and apply new technological concepts
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
