Account Executive

United States - Remote

Knowde is a global software company digitally transforming the $5 trillion chemical industry by solving the root problem holding the industry back: organizing and digitizing product data.

We provide touchless product master data and a suite of purpose-built, integrated tools to accelerate digital transformation—helping chemical industry suppliers and distributors unleash the hidden power of their product information and get it into the hands of the people who drive value: sales, regulatory, supply chain, and customers.

More than 8,000 of the world's largest suppliers and distributors use Knowde to accelerate their digital transformation and drive business growth.

We've raised over $200M from Sequoia Capital, Coatue, and other leading investors to transform one of the world's largest and most essential industries.

Our platforms enable faster operations

  • Knowde AI: Automatically extracts, structures, harmonizes, and enriches product data
  • Knowde MDM Platform: Centralized location where clean product master data lives and feeds all other systems
  • Knowde CXP: Full-featured customer experience platform built for chemical industry complexity
  • Knowde Marketplace: Leading online marketplace connecting 8,000+ chemical companies

The Role

You'll sell digital transformation to companies that have done business the same way for 50+ years. You'll navigate 6-12 month sales cycles with executive-level decision makers, proving that our platform is the unlock for countless initiatives and tens of millions in ROI.

This role requires enterprise sales experience with the ability to navigate complex organizations and buying processes. You'll own the full cycle—prospecting, running discovery, demoing the platform, negotiating contracts, closing deals, and driving expansion. Success means becoming the trusted advisor who makes executives believe digital transformation can win in one of the most analog industries left.

What You'll Do

Own the Full Sales Cycle

  • Prospect and build pipeline within target accounts across chemical suppliers and distributors
  • Run discovery to uncover pain points, map stakeholders, and identify transformation opportunities
  • Demo the platform and articulate ROI across multiple use cases (sales enablement, supply chain, regulatory, customer experience)
  • Navigate complex buying processes and multi-threaded sales with C-suite and VP-level decision makers

Drive Revenue Growth

  • Close new business deals and expand existing accounts
  • Develop account strategies that position Knowde as a strategic partner, not just a vendor
  • Forecast accurately and manage a disciplined sales process
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term account growth

Build Market Expertise

  • Develop deep understanding of the chemical industry, how it operates, and the digital transformation challenges it faces
  • Learn customer workflows across sales, supply chain, regulatory, and data management
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Represent Knowde at industry events and customer meetings (approximately 25% travel)

About You

  • 3+ years in enterprise sales navigating complex organizations and buying processes
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a B2B sales role
  • Ability to build deep relationships through multi-threading and land executive-level engagement
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ownership mentality—you figure things out rather than waiting for perfect conditions

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Education or experience in sciences or a highly technical field
  • Experience selling complex software or transformation projects
  • Background in the chemical industry or adjacent industrial markets
  • Experience with long sales cycles (6-12 months) and high ACV deals
  • Track record of building pipeline through creative outbound strategies

Note: This role requires approximately 25% travel to meet with customers and prospects.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family
  • 401(k) retirement program
  • Professional development and education stipend
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Paid parental leave

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
