Manager, Research & Deals Analyst, LatAm

The Role

As a Manager, Research & Deals Analyst, LatAm your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth research and analysis of streaming data together with airplay and social media performance to identify high-potential talent, assess artist growth and audience engagement, and evaluate song performance to enhance our understanding of emerging music metrics.

This is a role offering the opportunity to help drive our strategy as well as overall improve and innovate our Deal Evaluation process and continue to build a future for creators!

What You'll Do

  • Collect, prepare, and explore a variety of music data, and construct new methods to draw insights using data for Latin America and Mexico.
  • Research global industry trends, emerging digital services providers, and social media platforms.
  • Develop and manage detailed client analysis reports for internal review to support client evaluation and deal structuring by pulling catalog information, organizing and summarizing statement data (PRO and Publishing), as well as completing a top works and futures’ creative works analysis model.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Business Affairs to support client evaluation and deal structuring.
  • Maintain and update a weekly release tracker for Client Managers (WPR) team to ensure songs are queried/registered

What You'll Bring

Preferred:

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Experience working with streaming or research data analytics in A&R.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable handling large sets of data.
  • You are a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines.
  • A creative vision with a deep love of music & artist development, producers and songwriters & trends as well as an understanding of the music landscape.

 

Additional Skills That Could Add Value:

  • Experience in music publishing or interest in analytics
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning music business
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement and automation

What Success Looks Like

  • By Month 3: You’ll understand how each department works cross-functionally and become familiar with our roster
  • By Month 6: You’ll understand the tools required to put a deal together for evaluation and begin preparing creative summaries
  • By Year 1: You’ll proactively identify areas for improvement in deal flow and support ongoing research and analysis efforts.
