JOB SUMMARY

Our unclaimed property practice is a proven leader in the industry, with a full-suite of services that include annual compliance outsourcing, audit defense, exemption analysis, voluntary disclosures, risk assessments, search and location, and asset recovery. Our technology-focused solutions are designed to assist companies of all sizes and across all industries address every aspect of unclaimed property in the most effective and efficient manner possible. With our collaborative, team-based approach, we are able to apply the right blend of skills to each unique customer engagement. Whether a customer needs to complement an in-house unclaimed property team or outsource all of their unclaimed property responsibilities, we apply the appropriate level of services for each of our customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead all facets of unclaimed property annual compliance projects including data collection, dormancy and exemption analysis, due diligence management, state reporting production, and results distribution.
  • Develop and present customer deliverables and provide guidance and strategic advice to customers by describing forthcoming requests, knowledge of the process, etc.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive culture, including working closely with peers and management.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn, absorb knowledge, and apply guidance provided by senior team members and provide feedback and train associates.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with internal team members and customers through effective communication to maintain project and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the leadership of customer engagements as it relates to customer’s business and expectations and Kodiak’s scope of services, performance of team, and assignment of tasks.
  • Effectively carry out assigned project duties, including administration of customer engagements and understanding customer’s business and expectations.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding on the impact of changing unclaimed property legislation and technical developments affecting unclaimed property compliance engagements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of unclaimed property professional expertise (prior compliance / state filing experience preferred).
  • High quality verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable adapting to varied customer situations and customer needs with minimum confusion or loss of productivity.
  • Consistently produce high-quality, professional deliverables on schedule and budget.
  • Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.
  • Proven experience related to unclaimed property annual compliance engagements including data collection, dormancy and exemption analysis, due diligence management, state reporting production, and results distribution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • BA/BS with a concentration in accounting, business administration, finance, engineering, or information systems (or similar degrees).
