Accountabilities
Koley Jessen is actively seeking a qualified Desktop Support Specialist to join our dynamic and reputable organization. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting innovative information technology systems. This includes but is not limited to hardware and software set up, equipment maintenance, user account creation, local group policies, and help desk support.
The primary accountabilities of the role include:
- Help Desk Support including logging of all requests, status, and actions taken to resolve issues.
- New user account setup including documentation.
- Installation and maintenance of hardware and software including desktops/laptops, printers, scanners, intrusion detection systems, operating systems, productivity software suite, and other Firm software applications.
- Desktop/laptop patch management and compliance.
- Maintain desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals inventory in appropriate tracking systems.
- Ensure and demonstrate compliance requirements with company policy and procedure while consistently maintaining appropriate levels of technological services.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology or related field;
- Minimum of three years’ experience in IT and demonstrated expertise with resolving complex technical problems.
- Consistent oral and written communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
- Provide technical guidance in easy to understand non-technical terms to all users of all skill levels.
- Effective analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Technical leadership skills with a desire to grow in capabilities while offering a strong willingness to assist others.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Experience using Microsoft SCCM including desktop/laptop provisioning, patching, and software updates.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, 11 and Microsoft Office 365.
- Microsoft Active Directory user account setup and management along with group policies.
- Experience with Document Management Systems.
- Previous Information technology experience in a law firm or other professional services industry.
