About Kolmac
Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health specializes in evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment. We operate on the belief that when clinicians feel supported, patients get better outcomes. That means realistic caseloads, collaborative teams, and leadership that listens.
We're expanding our mental health programs and looking for a skilled, compassionate therapist ready to do some of the most meaningful clinical work of their career.
What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day
As a Mental Health Therapist at Kolmac, you will be at the center of patient care—building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment. You'll hold a blend of individual and group therapy, approximately 50–65% of your time in direct patient care with adults (and some adolescents). The rest is split across documentation, treatment team collaboration, and case management.
Your core clinical responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches
- Lead process, psychoeducational, and skills-based groups focused on emotional regulation, coping, and mental wellness
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
- Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and peers in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
- Support patients in understanding their diagnoses and building insight for long-term recovery
- Provide care coordination with families, referral sources, and external providers
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
- Participate in a shared after-hours crisis on-call rotation (details discussed in interview)
A note on schedule: This role operates Monday - Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm OR Monday - Friday 7am-3pm, reflecting the needs of our patient population. One day per week is remote-flexible. If you're energized by evening clinical work and value that flexibility, this schedule can be a real advantage.
Who We're Looking For
Required:
- Master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field
- Active, independent licensure in MD: LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC
- Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience in mental health treatment
- Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care
- Comfort with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Experience with — or genuine interest in working with — both adults and adolescents
Strongly Preferred:
- EMDR certification or active EMDR training
Compensation
Clinicians with consistent group census and strong engagement routinely bring total compensation to $80,000–$100,000+.
We believe you should understand how you'll earn before you apply — here's how it works: your base covers individual sessions and core clinical duties; the incentive layer rewards group facilitation and patient retention. High performers with full group rosters yields success!

Why Clinicians Stay at Kolmac
Caseloads that don't burn you out. We cap direct care at 50–65% for a reason. You'll have time to document, consult, and actually think.
Real interdisciplinary collaboration. You'll work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and peer support specialists — not in a silo.
Leadership that has clinical roots. Our program directors carry clinical backgrounds. When you raise a concern, you're talking to someone who gets it.
Growth as we grow. We're actively expanding our mental health programming, which means pathways into leadership, supervision, and specialty tracks for the right clinicians.
Mission-driven, not metrics-driven. We measure success through clinical outcomes — patient retention, program completion, and transitions of care — not session counts.
