The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

Komodo’s Revenue Accounting team is responsible for accurately recording, reporting, and analyzing our revenue. Our goal is to ensure the company complies with US GAAP accounting standards (ASC 606 and related regulations) and provides accurate financial information to management, auditors, and regulators. 

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…

  • Actively assisted in processing and reporting revenue transactions for on-going operations including billing and revenue analysis
  • Handled billing reconciliations for contracts and other related systems
  • Contributed to process improvements for our deliverables
  • Maintained manual revenue waterfall and related documentation
  • Supported the automation process in revenue accounting

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…

  • Prepare deal checklists in accordance with ASC 606 and company’s internal policies
  • Prepare manual revenue waterfall on the ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with teams to automate processes and establish traceable and auditable evidence for revenue recognition and applicable reporting
  • Take part in monthly revenue close procedures on an ad hoc basis, including preparation of revenue and deferred revenue related journal entries, reconciliations and other close tasks as directed
  • Consult with business partners to initiate and implement process improvements to the quote-to-cash process to increase operational efficiencies
  • Perform revenue system UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Validate data and reports for accuracy and completeness

What you'll bring to Komodo Health...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or quantitative field
  • 3-5 years experience with Revenue Accounting and ASC 606 application in a fast paced environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a MUST
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to execute with accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to interact with departments providing revenue evidence to accounting team
  • A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of accuracy
  • Experience with financial systems, specifically NetSuite and RevPro preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Experience with Software and/or SaaS industry is a plus

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of hourly base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.

 

The starting hourly base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy. 

San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:

$35 - $50 USD

All Other US Locations:

$25 - $45 USD

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
