Director, Information Technology
We Breathe Life Into Data
At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease.
As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way.
*Please note - this is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco, CA office. Onsite expectations are 2-3 days per week.*

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…
- Define and execute the IT strategy, aligning technology investments with organizational priorities and scaling needs.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance workforce productivity and enterprise resilience.
- Oversee IT Service Management for a fully remote and hybrid workforce spanning multiple global regions.

- Collaborate with HR, Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure IT practices exceed industry standards.
- Oversee risk management, business continuity planning (BCP), and incident response readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed global IT team into a strategic, business-aligned function.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee lifecycle management of IT infrastructure, SaaS ecosystem, and workplace technologies.
- Negotiate, manage, and optimize vendor partnerships to deliver both cost efficiency and service innovation.
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):
- 7+ years of IT leadership experience with at least 3 years at the senior manager or director level, overseeing distributed global teams.
- Proven ability to build and execute IT roadmaps that balance short-term service excellence with long-term enterprise scalability.
- Deep expertise in enterprise IT management: SaaS ecosystems (Google Workspace, Office 365, Okta, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom), endpoint management (Mac/Windows), and cloud services (AWS).
- Strong track record in security, risk, and compliance, with experience supporting SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in change management and organizational transformation, driving adoption of new platforms and practices.
- Business fluency: ability to communicate IT strategy and performance metrics to C-level stakeholders, bridging technical and non-technical audiences.
- A track record of vendor management and contract negotiation at scale.
- High EQ and strong people leadership skills, with a proven ability to build diverse, engaged, and high-performing teams.
Expected AI Use in this role…
- Leverage AI-driven IT service automation (chatbots, predictive analytics) to improve incident response, resolution times, and employee experience.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate and scale enterprise AI workplace solutions, ensuring governance, data privacy, and measurable productivity gains.
