Senior Legal Operations Manager

United States

We Breathe Life Into Data

At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease.

As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way.

The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

Komodo Health is a leading data and analytics company whose mission is to reduce the burden of disease. Komodo's platform integrates one of the most comprehensive healthcare datasets available to help life sciences companies, health plans, providers, and researchers make faster, more informed decisions. The Legal team operates as a strategic business partner across Komodo's commercial, product, and corporate functions, and this role is central to enabling that mission at scale.

Komodo Health is seeking a Senior Legal Operations Manager to build, manage, and continuously improve the operational infrastructure of its in-house Legal team. This is a high-impact, individual-contributor role reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel. The successful candidate will own the legal technology stack end-to-end—including CLM administration, AI tool configuration, and process automation—and will serve as the primary operational partner to the commercial legal function. This role does not carry billing, budget, outside counsel coordination, or litigation management responsibilities.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…

  • In the first 90 days, the successful candidate will have completed a thorough assessment of the existing legal technology stack, established ownership of LinkSquares and the AI tool suite, and identified the highest-priority workflow gaps.
  • Within six months, they will have implemented measurable improvements to CLM workflows and legal intake processes, and will have deployed or optimized at least one AI-assisted workflow that reduces legal team time on routine tasks.
  • At the one-year mark, the Legal team will operate with a documented, scalable operational infrastructure, and will have clear visibility into team performance through operational dashboards and metrics.

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for …

CLM Administration & Commercial Support

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for LinkSquares CLM, including end-to-end workflow configuration, template management, metadata governance, routing logic, user permissions, and repository integrity.
  • Proactively monitor the LinkSquares product roadmap; evaluate and champion adoption of new features where they improve contracting operations.
  • Analyze contracting data and usage patterns to identify inefficiencies and implement structural workflow improvements that reduce cycle times and attorney involvement in routine tasks.
  • Translate business requirements from attorneys and commercial stakeholders into clear, functional LinkSquares workflows, independently and without iterative redeliberation.
  • Track and report on CLM performance metrics—including cycle times, self-service rates, routing accuracy, and adoption trends—and deliver actionable reporting to legal leadership.
  • Maintain data integrity and governance standards across the contract repository.

Legal Technology Administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator and owner of all legal technology tools, including evaluating, implementing, and maintaining the legal tech stack in coordination with the Deputy General Counsel.
  • Develop and maintain a legal technology roadmap aligned with the team's operational priorities and Komodo's broader enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate with IT, Procurement, and external vendors on tool integrations, license management, and system configurations.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms that surface operational insights to legal leadership.

AI Tool Configuration & Automation

  • Configure, administer, and optimize AI tools deployed by the Legal team, including Claude Cowork (Anthropic), and evaluate additional AI solutions for legal use cases.
  • Design and implement AI-assisted workflows to automate routine legal tasks, including contract review support, intake triage, document generation, and knowledge retrieval.
  • Serve as the Legal team's internal expert on responsible AI adoption—establishing governance standards, use-case guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for new AI tools.
  • Partner with Legal leadership to identify automation opportunities and translate them into implemented, measurable workflow improvements.
  • Stay current on developments in legal AI and surface relevant tools and capabilities to the Deputy General Counsel for strategic consideration.

Legal Operations & Process Infrastructure

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable legal operations processes, including intake workflows, legal request triage, template libraries, playbooks, and knowledge management systems.
  • Build and maintain enablement materials—including training guides, workflow documentation, and self-service resources—to improve adoption and reduce attorney time spent on operational questions.
  • Identify process gaps and implement structural solutions, rather than one-off fixes, with an eye toward repeatability and scale.
  • Manage and coordinate external legal technology vendors to ensure effective partnerships, timely support, and strong return on investment.

Cross-Functional Partnerships

  • Act as the primary operational partner to the commercial legal team, proactively reducing administrative burden.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, Sales Operations, and other business stakeholders to align legal processes with enterprise systems and workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to legal technology, process redesign, and tool implementation, owning timelines, stakeholder communication, and rollout independently.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for business users on contract workflow questions, intake processes, and system-related inquiries.

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in legal operations at a technology, data, or life sciences company.
  • Hands-on, demonstrated experience administering LinkSquares CLM or similar,  including workflow design and configuration, template management, troubleshooting, and user administration. This is a firm requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and administering AI tools for a legal team, including Claude Cowork or comparable AI productivity platforms.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to learn new tools quickly, configure platforms with minimal external support, and translate legal team needs into system solutions.
  • Proven track record of independently owning complex legal operations initiatives from scoping through execution with minimal oversight.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement structural—not one-off—solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and training materials for both legal and non-legal audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Expectations of AI Use in this role (required):

  • This role requires consistent and daily use of AI in all aspects of the job responsibilities.
  • Komodo Health is an AI forward company and each team at the company is required to utilize AI in its workflows. The commercial legal team anticipates utilizing not only AI tools for individual daily use but also in automated workflows with multiple AI related tools available.

Additional skills and experience we’d prioritize (nice to have)…

  • Experience working with a  data or analytics company, where legal operations intersects with complex commercial agreements.
  • Familiarity with additional legal technology platforms beyond CLM (e.g., matter management, contract analytics, e-signature integrations).
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to a knowledge management function within a legal team.
  • Exposure to legal intake systems, document automation tools, or legal analytics platforms.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
