Senior Software Engineer

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

• Design, build, and maintain scalable services and distributed systems that support Konovo’s AI-enabled healthcare insights platform 

• Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code while adhering to engineering best practices 

• Partner with the LITE (LLM Innovation & Technology Engineering) team and cross-functional product squads to integrate emerging AI capabilities into core systems 

• Lead technical design discussions, drive architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers 

• Optimize system performance, reliability, and observability across services 

• Collaborate with Product Managers to refine requirements, map and ensure technical feasibility 

• Contribute to secure, compliant engineering practices aligned with responsible AI and healthcare data standards 

• Proactively identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural improvements 

• Support Release readiness, deployment processes, and post-release monitoring 

What We’re Looking For: 

• 6–10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade systems 

• Strong expertise in at least one backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#) and familiarity with modern frameworks 

• Frontend or full‑stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React.js or Next.js; Node.js experience is a strong plus 

• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native architectures 

• Strong experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs, with a solid understanding of API best practices, security, and performance patterns 

• Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems, and API design 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP 

• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design 

• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating across product and engineering teams 

• Experience working with platform or internal enablement teams is a plus 

• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly—both written and verbal 

• High ownership mindset with disciplined follow-through and a bias toward action 

• Curiosity and openness to AI-enhanced engineering workflows, tooling, and delivery models and exposure to using AI for development 

• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing environment while navigating challenges collaboratively
