Legal Counsel, Litigation and Dispute Resolution

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and driven Legal Counsel to oversee Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all types of litigation and dispute-related legal issues relevant to the video game industry;
- Serve as a trusted advisor to global business stakeholders to help inform global strategy and build global policies and practices relating to litigation;
- Oversee and support the Company’s global litigation and pre-litigation matters, including settlement negotiations, development of case strategy, legal research, discovery, briefs, depositions, trial, and post-trial matters;
- Manage outside counsel, including by assessing budgets and reviewing invoices;
- One or more of the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other members of Legal and cross-functional teams to protect and enforce company IP, including copyrights, trademarks and domain names;
- Conduct IP clearance on company products and services, including trademark, copyright, open source, and domain name clearance;
- Handle employment-related contracts, internal investigations, and other HR and ER-related matters
- Develop and implement policies for IP protection and enforcement.
- Develop and implement HR and ER-related policies and guidelines.
- Review relevant legal and regulatory developments, and advise the Company and provide training on related impacts to the business; and
- Other relevant legal duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- J.D. Degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house experience.
- Experience with litigation and dispute resolution, preferably involving technology, intellectual property (copyright and trademark), consumer claims, and/or employment law.
- Experience advising on employment law-related matters, including employment-related contracts, internal investigations and other HR and ER matters
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Able to handle litigation from beginning to end.
- Experience with, or capability to, work collaboratively with a global legal team and global business counterparts.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and manage outside counsel.
- Strong sense of customer support and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with video game, entertainment, or software technology a significant plus.
- Knowledge of Korean or other foreign languages a plus, but not required.

In California, the expected salary range for this position is $150,000-$235,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors that can include experience, education, skills, and location.
