With a focus on India, KRAFTON is dedicated to nurturing the gaming and start-up ecosystem. In line with this commitment, KRAFTON initiated the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) in October 2023. KIGI aims to support 6-10 teams annually with program durations ranging from six months to one year. Additionally, KRAFTON India has invested over $150 million in the Indian market in the past two years and has committed an additional $150 million to the Indian start-up ecosystem over the next three years.
About the Role:
We are looking for a versatile and fast-moving Art Generalist to support our team's diverse visual needs. In our fast-paced environment, you will handle a wide range of tasks, from designing a mobile-optimized user interface to creating placeholder assets for rapid prototyping. This role is perfect for a multi-talented artist who thrives on variety and wants to make a broad impact across the entire game. You will also be the in house artist who will be responsible to check assets made by external vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an intuitive and visually appealing UI/HUD specifically optimized for small, touchscreen devices.
- Create a variety of 2D assets, including icons, banners, and promotional materials.
- Model and texture simple 3D props and environment assets as needed – plan textures and UVs to optimize for mobile resources
- Produce placeholder and temporary art to support the prototyping efforts of the design and engineering teams.
- Assist with the integration of art assets into the Unity engine.
- Work quickly to handle small in-house art requests and edits, ensuring the development team is never blocked by art needs.
- Inspect Art made by external vendors to see if they meet our quality & technical standards
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a generalist art role within the game industry.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in UI/UX design, 2D illustration, and 3D modeling.
- Expertise with standard art software such as Photoshop, Maya, or Blender.
- Experience importing assets in unity and creating and implementing UI in Unity.
- Ability to adapt to different art tasks and work efficiently in a high-growth environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in VFX or animation.
- Experience working on a mobile game from concept to launch.
