Summary/Overview:

KBRA Europe is looking for an Intern to support its growing Corporate, and Project & Infrastructure Finance groups that conduct credit analysis and monitor their portfolios of issuers primarily in Europe. The intern will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience into the life of a credit rating agency analyst and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting. The role will be exposed to a variety of tasks across different asset classes and sectors (including, power, renewable energy, and infrastructure). We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in a dynamic environment where multitasking and analytical skills are essential. The position has a duration of up to 9 months starting in early April but later start date can be arranged. This role is based in KBRA’s Dublin office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide general analytical support for KBRA’s credit analysts, including sectoral research
• Develop spreadsheets and analytical materials to support the ratings process
• Analyse financial statements
• Contribute to industry research focused on relevant corporate sectors, including power, energy and renewable finance
• Participate in due diligence meetings
• Participate in team meetings
• To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the Republic of Ireland, and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.

Key Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, a keen interest in credit analysis/capital markets and ability to learn quickly
• Familiarity with financial statement analysis is preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Curiosity and drive to learn/develop
• Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.
