Entity: Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC

Employment Type: Full-time

Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency) is seeking an experienced structured finance professional with deep expertise in ABS cash flow modeling to join our Consumer Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) team in New York. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of ABS transaction structures and payment waterfalls with hands-on experience developing, implementing, and validating cash flow models, including for complex or nonstandard transactions. The Director will independently manage end-to-end cash flow modeling projects across Consumer ABS asset classes, including auto loans and leases, unsecured consumer loans, home improvement loans, credit cards, and student loans. The candidate will work extensively with KBRA's internally developed proprietary cash flow modeling system and serve as a key liaison between the ABS analytical and quantitative development teams on model design, enhancements, testing, and implementation.

About the Job:

  • Serve as the primary analyst responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of cash flow models for KBRA-rated ABS transactions.
  • Serve as a senior resource within the ABS team on cash flow modeling, transaction structures, and payment waterfall mechanics.
  • Analyze transaction documents and translate payment waterfalls, credit enhancement, triggers, fees, reserves, and other structural features into detailed model requirements.
  • Partner with analytical and quantitative teams to develop, test, and validate models, identify modeling discrepancies or limitations, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Establish and promote cash flow modeling standards, controls, documentation, and best practices across the Consumer ABS team.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant ABS experience or transferrable structured finance, including significant hands-on cash flow modeling across multiple ABS subsectors.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and modeling complex or nonstandard ABS transaction structures.
  • Experience modeling ABS cash flows using both industry-standard third-party modeling platforms (e.g., Intex DealMaker) and proprietary or internally developed modeling tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills; an Excel-based modeling assessment may be administered as part of the interview process.
  • Strong understanding for how cash flow modeling systems operate, with experience developing, enhancing, testing, or providing functional requirements for such tools.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (writing sample on request).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT to support coding, research, document review, and other analytical workflows.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $210,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
