Mobile Automation DevOps Engineer

Overview:

Kunai is seeking a Mobile DevOps Engineer to support our client, a leading financial institution, by managing and automating the release process for their internal mobile application. This app, often referred to as a Dog Food app, enables employees to test and validate features that will eventually be rolled out to customer-facing platforms. In this role, you’ll focus on user management, app store automation, and seamless integration with the client's access management systems. You’ll have the opportunity to enhance and streamline mobile deployment processes, ensuring efficient and secure app distribution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage user access and permissions for internal mobile applications, ensuring smooth integration with the client’s All Access platform and ServiceNow workflows.
Automate the app release processes for iOS and Android platforms using Fastlane or similar scripting tools, streamlining deployments to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to validate and test new features, ensuring smooth, high-quality releases for internal users and external customers.
Handle integration processes to guarantee internal users can access the application seamlessly, adhering to standard ticketing systems and service workflows.
Maintain and optimize the mobile app deployment pipeline, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability of release processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Hands-on experience with mobile DevOps practices, specifically related to user management and app store automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting tools like Fastlane for automating mobile application build and release processes.
  • Deep familiarity with iOS and Android ecosystems, including the full app release lifecycle (build, testing, deployment).
  • Strong understanding of user access management systems and experience integrating with platforms like ServiceNow.
  • Experience working within Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and operations.


Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in mobile DevOps within the financial services sector or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of mobile application testing, validation, and release processes.
  • Familiarity with internal apps for employee testing (such as Dog Food apps).
  • Understanding of mobile security and compliance requirements in financial applications.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 (commensurate with experience)
