Senior Software Engineer

Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.

On the forefront of Kunai’s recent efforts is building a modern payments platform that will be instrumental in enabling repeatability, stability and quality for multiple development teams across a partner bank. In this role, you’ll work on a SCRUM team that will own products and services end to end, from intent refinement to development to production support. You will build new features for the larger transformation within the card technology organization including the development of cutting edge & secure online payment methods that will provide customers with a new found sense of safety and convenience in the eCommerce space. You'll work on the backend development of Python and Java Services and help guide an ongoing migration to a true serverless infrastructure.

Basic Requirements: 

• 5 years of experience in back-end software development, with 3+ yrs writing backend services in Python
• Experience with Java, ideally experience with refactoring Java code to Python
• Hands-on experience with AWS and CloudFormation
• Production-ready experience in a serverless environment, preferably enterprise
• 1+ yr hands-on with DynamoDB.   
• Experience with CICD pipelines, 

Nice to haves: 

• TypeScript or Angular experience
• Experience in automated testing, end to end testing, or integration testing
• AWS certifications

This role is a fully remote position that can work anywhere in the US.
