Head of Lead Generation

United States

About KUNGFU.AI

KUNGFU.AI is a leading AI-native consulting firm. We partner with ambitious organizations through multi-year cycles of transformation to help them compete and lead in the age of AI. Our work spans AI strategy, applied machine learning and engineering, and the operationalization of AI into real products, processes, and decision systems.

We are not a slideware consultancy. We design and build production-grade AI systems that drive measurable business outcomes. Our teams combine deep technical expertise with pragmatic consulting discipline to move clients from experimentation to impact.

Outside of client work, our team includes artists, athletes, musicians, board members, parents, volunteers, and lifelong learners. We value curiosity, craftsmanship, and care for one another.

The Role

KUNGFU.AI is hiring a Head of Lead Generation, a director-level role reporting to the CMO, to become the architect of an integrated, strategic, scalable, predictable growth engine. This is not a channel-manager role. You will own the system end to end: the CRM, the data, the automation, and the AI-native tooling that turns KUNGFU.AI's brand and content into qualified pipeline on a predictable cadence.

You are AI-first by instinct, not by mandate. You're deep in HubSpot, fluent in Clay, comfortable directing Claude to do real production work, and quick to pressure-test exa.ai and whatever comes after it. If a better tool exists, you already know about it, and you've probably already tried it.

What You'll Own

Growth Engine Architecture

  • Design and own KUNGFU.AI's end-to-end demand generation system, from first touch to sales-qualified pipeline, as a single integrated engine rather than a set of disconnected campaigns.
  • Define the metrics that make pipeline predictable, including funnel conversion, velocity, source attribution, and forecast accuracy, and report them on a standing cadence to the CMO and leadership.
  • Build the engine to scale with headcount and revenue targets, not just the size of today's team.

AI-Native Tooling & Automation

  • Own HubSpot as the system of record: CRM hygiene, lifecycle stages, workflows, and reporting.
  • Use Clay to build and maintain enrichment and signal-based prospecting workflows that keep target account and contact data current without manual upkeep.
  • Direct Claude and comparable LLM tooling to automate research synthesis, personalization at scale, qualification logic, and internal reporting, always with a human checkpoint before anything reaches a prospect.
  • Use exa.ai and similar AI-native search and research tools to surface real buying signals, such as job changes, funding events, and procurement activity, ahead of manual research.
  • Continuously evaluate new AI and marketing technology, and retire the tools that no longer earn their place in the stack.

Pipeline & Predictability

  • Partner with the CMO, CRO and Client Partners on shared, durable definitions of a marketing-qualified and a sales-qualified lead.
  • Build outbound and nurture sequencing, extending KUNGFU.AI's existing Lemlist and Clay motion, that is personalized at scale rather than a generic blast.
  • Own lead scoring and routing so the right lead reaches the right seller within minutes, not days.

Channel & Program Execution

  • Scale KUNGFU.AI's CRM-segmented client and prospect engagement motion into a repeatable, always-on program.
  • Own paid media strategy and execution — set budget and channel mix across search, social, and programmatic, and optimize continuously against pipeline contribution and lead quality, not just cost-per-click.
  • Support KUNGFU.AI's content, thought-leadership, webinar, and channel-partner co-promotion programs with the lead-capture and follow-up infrastructure to convert attention into pipeline.
  • Partner with the CMO on analyst relations and media programs so every earned-media and speaking moment has a lead-capture path behind it.

Team & Culture

  • Define what to hire next as the function grows, and mentor toward it.
  • Bring the same intellectual honesty to a pipeline dashboard that KUNGFU.AI brings to a client's AI strategy: report what is actually working, not what looks good in a deck.

What You Bring

Experience

  • 7+ years in demand generation, growth marketing, or revenue operations, including at least 2 years owning pipeline outcomes in a lead role, ideally at a B2B professional services, consulting, or enterprise technology company.
  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise: workflows, lifecycle stages, and attribution reporting, not just dashboard viewing.
  • Real production experience with Clay-style enrichment and outbound tooling, and with AI-native research tools such as exa.ai or comparable platforms.
  • Direct experience directing large language models, such as Claude, to do real growth work: research, drafting, qualification, or internal reporting, not as a novelty.
  • A track record of turning a set of disconnected demand generation tactics into a single, forecastable engine.

Competencies

  • Comfortable being both the architect and the hands-on operator. This role designs the system and builds it.
  • Fluent in translating pipeline math, such as funnel conversion, velocity, and source attribution, into a story a CEO or board can act on.
  • Genuinely AI-first: reaches for a new tool before asking for more headcount, and knows the difference between automation that helps and automation that erodes trust.
  • Leads without requiring a large team, directs external partners and specialists effectively today, and is equally ready to hire, coach, and manage direct reports as headcount is added.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, remote-first, entrepreneurial environment without a large existing team to lean on.

Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
