Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and effective IT Analyst to support the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) Business Management Support Services contract. The IT Analyst will plan, execute, and sustain ASBP information management and reporting capabilities by supporting system enhancements, integrating data across platforms, and delivering reliable analytics products to leadership and operational users. This role will translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop and maintain reports and dashboards, improve workflows through automation, and ensure ASBP systems and data practices remain compliant with DoD, FDA, and HIPAA requirements. The IT Analyst will work directly with program staff and stakeholders to implement system improvements, support users, and maintain documentation that enables secure, efficient, and mission-ready operations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the design, enhancement, testing, implementation, and sustainment of ASBP information systems and reporting platforms.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports and dashboards to support operational, strategic, and executive-level decision-making.
- Maintain and update system documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and technical reference materials.
- Support data integration efforts across ASBP systems and external DoD or partner systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual business processes using workflow tools, scripts, or other technologies and assist in implementing automation solutions.
- Assist with gathering, documenting, and validating user requirements for new IT initiatives or system enhancements.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment of upgrades or new capabilities.
- Provide training and day-to-day technical support to ASBP staff on systems, tools, and reporting solutions.
- Support data quality, validation, backup, and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Ensure systems and data practices comply with applicable FDA, HIPAA, and DoD IT and cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders, vendors, and partner organizations during system changes or integrations.
- Support IT project planning, tracking, risk management, and status reporting as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting IT systems, data platforms, or business applications.
- Experience in Federal, DoD, or healthcare IT environments strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with data reporting tools, dashboards, and business intelligence concepts.
- Experience supporting system documentation, SOP development, and user training.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment supporting mission-critical operations.
