Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and effective Quality Assurance Specialist to support the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) Business Management Support Services contract. The Quality Assurance Specialist will design, implement, and operate the contract Quality Control Program to ensure all services and deliverables meet PWS requirements and Government performance standards. This role will conduct reviews and audits, track quality metrics, manage corrective actions, and support Government QASP surveillance activities. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work across functional areas to prevent defects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality performance throughout contract execution.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with the PWS and Government requirements.
- Establish and execute quality control processes to ensure services and deliverables meet performance standards for quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and process reviews across operational, analytical, and administrative functions.
- Track quality metrics, defects, trends, and corrective actions, and report findings to program leadership.
- Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.
- Support Government Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) activities and respond to surveillance findings.
- Ensure quality compliance across all functional areas, including analytics, IT support, agreements, and records management.
- Support quality components of the Expeditionary Blood Program and Walking Blood Bank (WBB) activities, including training, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain quality documentation, audit records, and performance evidence in a manner suitable for Government review.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the contractor team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in quality management, business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with Federal quality standards, surveillance programs, or performance-based contracts preferred.
- Experience developing or managing quality plans, audits, and corrective action programs.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate quality findings clearly to leadership and staff.
