2025 Summer Intern - Marketing Oncology

Kyowa Kirin is a fast-growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four areas of unmet need: oncology, nephrology, immunology and CNS/movement disorders. The North America organization includes two offices (in New Jersey and California) that focus on drug discovery, product development, and commercialization. We are currently seeking a student Intern to join our team. As a Marketing Oncology intern, you will work closely with the Marketing Department and the areas of the business that we support. This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to juniors or seniors within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ. This role is a hybrid role with two days in person at the Princeton office.

Responsibilities: Working closely with the Oncology Marketing Team on assigned tasks. They may include:

  • Promotional Resources:
    • Partner with field force to gain insights into gaps in promotional tools/resources
    • Engage creative agency to develop relevant tools/resources that align with strategic objectives and message platform
    • Lead meetings with Promotional Review Committee to get content reviewed and approved
    • Assess utilization and impact of tools/resources qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Market Analysis and Product Strategy:
    • Help analyze clinical profiles, strengths, and weaknesses of expected market entrant(s)
    • Evaluate early competitive messaging, positioning, and physician perspectives for the expected entrant(s)
    • Partner with market research team to build a market research study to evaluate physician expectations,  perceptions, and ‘intent to use’ for expected market entrant(s)
    • Pull through tactics to strengthen positioning of own product
  • Omni-Channel Marketing:
    • Evaluate marketing channels for effectiveness in reaching healthcare professionals and patients
    • Work with marketing, digital, analytics teams, and agencies to build educational content for disease state and product
    • Customize content and messaging hierarchy for different audiences (Patients, Nurses, Physicians)
    • Monitor execution through multiple channels and report on performance metrics

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • This position requires candidates to be a rising junior or rising senior in college/university pursuing a career in Marketing.
  • Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ.
  • Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th, 2025 to August 15th, 2025
  • Interest in a pharmaceutical career
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and grow
  • This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required
  • Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred
  • Major in a target area related to this role is required
  • This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without sponsorship
