Summary of Job:
The Oncology Associate Director of Marketing is responsible for the co-creation of strategic imperatives and development / implementation of tactics to achieve US sales objectives. The role will manage external agencies and ensure alignment of internal stakeholders to meet goals.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the development of annual Brand Plan by partnering with cross-functional team and agency partners
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead the development and execution of HCP and Consumer tactical plans
- Lead the collaborative planning, alignment, approval, and execution of branded and unbranded HCP and Patient tactics designed to drive US performance.
- Lead expansion of HCP unbranded / disease state educational program; includes development of tools and resources for utilization by sales team
- Organize and run weekly cross-functional team meeting to ensure alignment on key programs and flag any risks to timelines
- Participate in all PRC meetings to ensure alignment of messages across all branded and unbranded resources
- Assist in development of POA presentations and ensure effective execution of POA priorities and rollout of training and promotional initiatives
- Utilize Field Advisory Team to collect input on tactics, performance, opportunities, gaps, and challenges, as well as test materials.
- Ensure a productive and cost-effective relationship with external agencies and partners.
- Ensure key activities are managed effectively achieving KPIs on time and on budget
- Align with finance team to track expenses on a monthly basis and ensure a productive and cost-effective relationship with external agencies and partners
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical marketing (preferably oncology)
- Proven business acumen (e.g. business degree, MBA, or previous role(s) proving business acumen development)
- Strong organizational, managerial and leadership skills (including influence without formal authority)
- Excellent social competencies and ability to work in a highly matrixed organization effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and strong ability to build and cultivate internal and external networks.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
- Strong operational skills and project/ timeline management capabilities
Physical Demands: Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work
Working Conditions: Minimum 2 days in home office. Requires up to ~15% domestic travel
