Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

The Sr. Manager Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis(“FP&A”) will be responsible for collaborating with the Central Nervous System, Immunology and Public Affairs functions within the business. This individual will support the Director of Commercial FP&A in all aspects of FP&A, including planning and budgeting cycles, management reporting, business partnering, financial reporting systems, processes development, and ad-hoc analytics.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
- Collaborate and lead meetings with Department Heads, supporting them in developing and achieving financial goals and objectives for their functions.
- Proactively manage all forecasting timelines, communications, and deliverables with the various cross-functional teams involved.
- Support Global and Regional expense budgeting/forecasting cycle
- Support LRP forecasting for products in development on an as needed basis.
- Work closely with alliance partners to track, verify, and communicate costs to be shared.
Business Partnering and Financial Support
- Provide financial support to Commercial teams – presentations, reports, analysis and advice
- Collaborate with functional matrix to drive business goals (Market Access, Commercial Analytics, HR, Legal, etc)
- Analyze product sales, maintain models, EC supporting materials, and commentary
- Review gross-to-net current and future liabilities with Accounting
- Manage financial cycles for – monthly/ quarterly close, Budget, Projections
- Support accounting by driving and supporting the monthly/quarterly accrual process.
- Provide accurate and timely support of purchase requisition and invoice requirements for supported teams in accordance with Procurement and AP processes.
- Support production of monthly, quarterly, and annual Management Reporting.
- Ensure integrity of financial data by regularly reviewing and reconciling data shared between key financial applications used within the function.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- CPA or MBA preferred
Experience
5+ years of FP&A, financial auditing, consulting or operations experience with significant exposure to financial reporting.
Pharmaceutical experience a plus. Prior Big 4, consulting, or investment banking experience a plus. Good technical (accounting) knowledge. Team player and entrepreneurial mindset, with an ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
Technical Skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite. Excellent IT skills and abilities – current systems include Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tagetik, Excel and PowerPoint .
Non-Technical Skills
Highly motivated; great attention to detail. Strong endurance to work under tight timelines and complex/changing situations. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Broad level of interpersonal skills and flexibility. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization. Comfortable discussing/conveying information to executive leadership
Physical Demands:
Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work
Working Conditions:
Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
