Rare Disease Marketing Intern - Summer 2026
Kyowa Kirin is a fast-growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four disease areas: bone and mineral; intractable hematologic; hematology oncology; and rare disease. A Japan-based company, our goal is to translate science into smiles by delivering therapies where no adequate treatments currently exist, working from drug discovery to product development and commercialization. In North America, we are headquartered in Princeton, NJ, with offices in California, North Carolina, and Mississauga, Ontario.
We are currently seeking an Marketing, Rare Disease Intern to join our team. As a Marketing intern, you will work closely with the department. This hybrid position is two days a week in the Princeton, NJ office. The Marketing, Rare Disease internship is paid, temporary internship eligible to rising juniors or rising seniors. In this role, the candidate should have an interest in obtaining practical experience in business strategy, market research, and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the marketing team on assigned tasks
- Collaborate with marketing team members to identify and analyze trends
- Identify leverage points in marketing initiatives and provide recommendations
- Participate in conference calls with internal and external stakeholders
- Optimize existing marketing materials
- Learn about current marketing challenges and work on strategic projects that mitigate identified challenges
- Develop and deliver formal business recommendations
- Maintain professional relationships with members of the cross functional team
- Manage project timelines
- Learn and understand HCP and Patient marketing needs
- Apply critical thinking skills to solve structured and unstructured problems
Qualifications/Requirements:
- This position requires candidates to be a rising junior or rising senior in college/university pursuing a career in Marketing.
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule of two days a week in our Princeton, NJ office
- Interns are required to be able to work from May 26th, 2026 to August 13th, 2022
- This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
- The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required
- Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred
- Major in a target area related to this role is required
- This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without sponsorship
The anticipated hourly rate for this position will be $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, education (including applicable licenses and certifications, job-based knowledge, location, and other business and organizational needs.
