Manager, Commercial Training and Development-Oncology

Job Purpose:
The Manager, Commercial Training & Development is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and measurement of customized training programs for all branded products and selling skills. This individual liaises with key stakeholders within each functional area (sales, marketing, medical, ops, etc.) and ensures that the creation and pull-through of training directives are met.
Essential Functions:
Training Strategy & Design
- Lead the design, development, and execution of new hire onboarding, advanced skills, and ongoing training programs.
- Translate brand strategy, market insights, and clinical data into engaging, compliant, and results-driven learning solutions.
- Ensure training objectives align with business priorities, adult learning principles, and modern instructional design best practices.
Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate dynamic, high-impact classroom, virtual, and hybrid training sessions using modern learning platforms and techniques.
- Adapt delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles and experience levels
- Evaluate participant competency through observation, assessments, certifications, and feedback to ensure training effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain deep, current knowledge of assigned disease states, products, and market trends to ensure training relevance.
- Conduct needs analyses and gap assessments through field rides, surveys, and stakeholder feedback.
- Update training content based on evolving market dynamics, competitive activity, and clinical developments.
- Implement tools and activities that reinforce learning between formal training events.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams (corporate, field-based, and external) to ensure alignment and pull-through of training priorities.
- Support national, regional, and POA meetings by designing and delivering workshops, breakout sessions, and skill-building activities.
- Collaborate with co-promotion partners, as applicable.
- Assist other Commercial Training & Development (CT&D) team members, as needed.
- Manage external vendors, contracts, and budgets to deliver high-quality, high-ROI training solutions.
Operations & Administration
- Oversee the commercial learning management system (LMS) to ensure accurate scheduling, documentation, and reporting of training activities.
- Maintain all training records and materials in compliance with regulatory, legal, and quality standards
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Minimum 1 year of therapeutic area or pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience; launch experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications
- Therapeutic area experience in multiple disease states across Kyowa Kirin’s product portfolio is valued.
- Strong clinical acumen; ability to translate complex scientific and clinical information into relevant, impactful, and compliant training.
- Understanding of market access, reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, and patient support programs.
- Proficiency in adult learning principles, instructional design, and multiple modalities (instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, microlearning).
- Demonstrated ability to measure training effectiveness and apply data to enhance learning programs.
- Exceptional verbal/written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely or in-office as needed.

- Self-motivated professional with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving orientation.
- The ability to function well in a fast-paced atmosphere while managing ongoing change.

The anticipated salary for this position will be $118,100 to $154,200 . The actual salary offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, education (including applicable licenses and certifications, job-based knowledge, location, and other business and organizational needs.
