Associate Director Clinical Educator Training

Summary of Job
The AD CE Trainer serves as an advanced subject matter expert and field leader within the Patient Services organization. Building upon the foundational Clinical Educator role, the Sr. CE provides strategic leadership, mentorship, and advanced clinical education to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers while contributing to the development and continuous improvement of national Clinical Education programs.
These individual plays a key role in driving field excellence, aligning education strategies with company goals, and serving as a liaison between Clinical Education, Patient Access, and other cross-functional partners to enhance patient experience, optimize outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
The AD CE Trainer demonstrates strong leadership presence, clinical acumen, and operational expertise to guide others, inform program enhancements, and ensure consistency and excellence across the field organization.
Essential Functions

Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as a regional or national mentor to Clinical Educators, providing peer coaching, best-practice sharing, and support for onboarding and continuous development.
• Partner with the Director of Clinical Education to identify training gaps, develop field tools, and lead peer-to-peer learning initiatives.
• Support quality assurance and field coaching observations, ensuring alignment with SOPs and compliance standards.
Advanced Clinical Education
- Deliver high-level, company-approved on-label education to healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, caregivers, and community groups with advanced skill in adapting education to diverse audiences.
• Act as a clinical thought partner for internal stakeholders, including the development and review of educational content, training materials, and patient-facing resources.
• Maintain and expand subject matter expertise in rare and metabolic bone diseases, product administration, and therapeutic management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Patient Access, Case Management, and Commercial teams to ensure consistent, compliant, and patient-centered communication.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, PRC (Medical/Legal/Regulatory) review processes, and field insight gathering to support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to national strategy discussions, providing real-world feedback and field perspective to inform program evolution and process optimization.
Program Strategy & Metrics
- Support development and execution of national Clinical Education strategies and operational initiatives.
• Track and report educational impact metrics, providing insights and recommendations to enhance patient and HCP engagement.
• Identify emerging trends, needs, and barriers within the field to help shape the future direction of Clinical Education programs.
- Serve as a regional or national mentor to Clinical Educators, providing peer coaching, best-practice sharing, and support for onboarding and continuous development.
Education
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or bachelor’s degree in the health care field; advanced degree preferred (MSN, NP, PA)
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in clinical education, nursing, or related healthcare field.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or patient services industry experience preferred.
• Rare disease or metabolic bone disorder experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading peer development, training facilitation, or mentoring initiatives.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with field reimbursement, case management, and/or medical teams.
• Proven ability to work independently while driving regional and national priorities.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and digital communication platforms.
- Strong data literacy to interpret, report, and communicate key performance indicators.
