Head of Uniforms & Workforce Accreditation:

The Head of Uniforms & Workforce Accreditation will be a key leader of the LA28 Uniforms & Workforce Accreditation team, responsible for delivering uniforms and supporting end-to-end accreditation across the LA28 workforce, including paid staff, volunteers, and contractors/service providers. Reporting to the SVP, HR, Games Prep & Delivery, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Security, Logistics, Consumer Products, Design, and commercial teams, amongst others, as well as within the People team, and with other key stakeholders in crafting and delivering the uniform program and supporting Uniform & Accreditation Center (UAC) operations for LA28.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the People team’s lead for the Uniforms and workforce accreditation programs for LA28 by managing and leading the strategic and operational work required to deliver the uniform program and UAC operations during Games time.
  • Conduct enterprise wide needs assessment in support and furtherance of the Uniforms program and key deliverables.
  • Create and implement enterprise wide strategy for Uniform program delivery.
  • Maintain shared responsibility for accurate forecasts for business assets and uniforms and timely reporting.
  • Lead and manage cross functional communication across the Organization including sharing pertinent information, figures, and operational plans with key internal Functional Area partners.
  • Participate actively in partnership and workshops with the Technology team and/or key suppliers to ensure systems, platforms, apps, and other tools are designed with Uniforms requirements at the forefront and assist with operationalizing the technology platforms to deliver the Games.
  • Lead the development of strategy and operational approach for uniform distribution and workforce accreditation management across the Games time footprint.
  • Work closely with Workforce Planning function to monitor and meet critical milestones, including design, ordering, and other key deadlines.
  • Support implementation of workforce uniform and accreditation policies as it relates to UAC operations and procedures.
  • Plan and implement issue resolution procedures.
  • Contribute to any required system configuration and testing as required to support the uniform program and deliverables (functions, privilege matrix, etc.).
  • Maintain and monitor inventory throughout product lifecycle/s, and ensure smooth operation of distribution and accreditation centers.
  • Develop and support dissolution process for key assets and facilities.
  • Work within the People team to define any uniform and/or workforce accreditation training requirements, and related materials; assist in the delivery of collateral and training as required.
  • Local travel may be required to support Games time deliverables.
  • Shift work will be required leading up to and during Games time.

Background & Requirements:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in a sporting event/global event environment within uniform, workforce accreditation, distribution, and/or logistics.
  • Prior experience leading a team to deliver a workforce uniform program.
  • Proven experience supporting Uniform and Accreditation Center operations.
  • Exemplifies quality working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional provider of support to multi-layer teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational and team leadership abilities.
  • Adept with leading development of new procedures and systems to support programmatic deliverables.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional and distributed workforce.
  • Communicate effectively within the People team and across all relevant Functional Areas, in furtherance of efficient and seamless uniform outfitting and distribution at Games Time.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with specialization in apparel, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Prior Games or global event experience required.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $126,000.00 - $180,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
