LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties (USOPP) is the commercial joint venture between LA28 and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), charged with marketing and selling combined commercial assets, including rights to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams (Team USA) and the LA28 Games. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Sr. Manager, Partnership Marketing:
As the Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing, you'll spearhead the daily interactions with our Commercial Partners (Sponsors) across the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movements. Your role extends to collaborating closely across the Partnership Marketing team to architect and propel marketing strategies and initiatives that align with our Partner Family's business objectives. We're seeking a resilient and agile candidate with a diverse background in marketing, spanning communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, experiential, and social media. This position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate multiple projects simultaneously, meeting stringent deadlines. Your swift onboarding and integration are paramount, especially as the Partnership Marketing team gears up for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of all Partner activations and programs this summer. Based in our Los Angeles office, you'll collaborate with our sales, communications, athlete, social impact, Games operations, creative strategy, and design teams, among others, to bolster the overall success of Team USA and the Games.
This role reports to Sr. Director, Partnership Marketing
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate day-to-day relationships and fulfill the variety of needs of multiple commercial partner teams, including clients, agencies, and marketing units.
- Drive all contractual deliverables and activations for clients/brands, collaborating with Partnership Marketing (MPS) leadership and internal cross-functional departments to meticulously plan and deliver tailored marketing opportunities.
- Ensure that all commercial partnership endeavors contribute to and optimize immediate and long-term business goals, while continuously enhancing processes and tracking KPIs.
- Develop and execute project management plans under the guidance of PM Leadership.
- Foster ongoing client engagement through meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence.
- Support the delivery and execution of Partner Games-time contractual obligations and additional requirements.
- Curate a directory and inventory of PM materials (both physical and digital), ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and spearheading the creation of new materials as needed.
- Manage and facilitate partners' product integration supply rights, obligations, and opportunities between Partner, LA28, and the USOPC.
- Collaborate with functional area experts within the organizing committee (e.g., Games Operations, Impact, Finance, IT, HR, etc.) to gain a comprehensive understanding of budgets and operational needs.
- Contribute to partner creative and approvals via the IOC's Track system.
- Partner with additional PM staff to lead projects and create presentations, tracking documents, and other deliverables as required.
- Manage the growth and development of a Partnership Marketing Associate.
- Coach, mentor, and share best practices across entire PM team to foster collaboration and skills development.
- Serve as a liaison with key peers/functional units at IOC, IPC, USOPC, and NGBs.
Background & Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years of direct experience in sports business or related marketing environment
- Hands on experience developing and leading relationships with strategic partners
- Strong operational and program execution skills required
- Strong cross-functional skills, and a capacity for creativity/innovation
- Excellent presentation preparation skills and ability to work successfully with varied audiences (colleagues, business partners, collaborators, customers, and senior members of the organization)
- Knowledge and first-hand experience within the sports marketing industry. Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a plus
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Clear communicator with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
- Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000-130,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
