The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Games Insights & Learning:
Games Insights & Learning is a critical function for any Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee—ensuring that institutional knowledge, operational insights, and best practices are transferred across LA28 and with future Games editions.
This role contributes directly to that mission by helping to deliver the program for the LA28 delegation to learn from past Games and other multi-sport events, including the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. Working as part of the Games Insights & Learning team, the Manager will execute key program elements, manage delegation logistics, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge captured by the LA28 team from the Milano Cortina Games and ensuring integration into our overall learning repository. You will also play a key role in the delivery of key leadership touchpoints with two of our key partners, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC), including the Coordination Commission and Delivery Partner Meetings.
This is a highly cross-functional role, ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment. This role will report to the VP, Games Learning & Insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize LA28 participation in Observer Programs at Milano Cortina Olympic & Paralympic Games
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect and organize relevant content for briefings, site visits, and workshops.
- Deliver logistical and operational components of the Observer Program, ensuring seamless execution of schedules, staffing, and session coordination.
- Manage pre-Games and on-site delivery logistics, including but not limited to the Games Accommodations, Accreditations, and Arrivals and Departures management systems
- Facilitate smooth day-to-day operations and timely problem-solving during the Games period
- Support in the redesign of the knowledge capture process to facilitate Games Learning across LA28 team
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Integration
- Serve as a liaison across departments to align inputs, confirm deliverables, and help ensure readiness for Observer Program activities and external engagements.
- Assist in planning and delivering key engagements with IOC and IPC stakeholders, including leadership meetings, site visits, and milestone interactions.
- Draft agendas, presentation materials, briefing notes, talking points, and summary documents for executive stakeholders
- Track meeting outcomes and follow-ups to ensure consistency across touchpoints.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, prepare planning materials, and ensure timely follow-through on outstanding actions.
Background & Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
Required
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in program coordination, events, or large-scale operational delivery
- Strong organizational and logistical planning skills, with an ability to manage complex schedules and multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and tone.
- Experience working with senior leadership and/or high-profile stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information and relationships.
- Proven ability of building good interpersonal relationships with people across the organization and with external stakeholders, while balancing assertiveness with diplomacy
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaboration
- Willingness and ability to travel for events and multi-day engagements, both domestically and internationally.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Preferred
- Direct multi-Games experience at a previous OCOG, multi-sport Games, or experience delivering programs for large delegations is a significant asset
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, iterating, and evolving work
- Ideally, experience with Generative AI Platforms (specifically MSFT Co-Pilot)
- Familiarity with protocol, global engagement planning, and delegation operations.
- Multilingual skills or experience in international or multicultural settings
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to work onsite in-office, based in Los Angeles, CA
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
- This position will require international, domestic, and local trips to facilitate observer programs and stakeholder engagements.
- International travel may involve travel to different countries and will require a valid Passport.
- Anticipated travel will be approximately 15% or less of working hours.
- All of the travel will require the candidate to bring their own luggage.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00-105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
