Manager, Transportation Stakeholder Services:
LA28’s Manager, Transportation Stakeholder Services will lead the coordination, identification and specification of stakeholder transportation services.
Stakeholder transportation services are defined as those transportation services offered to the diverse Olympic and Paralympic stakeholders as a part of LA28’s obligations under the International Olympic Committee’s award of the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Transportation Stakeholders include Athletes and National Olympic / Paralympic Committees, Olympic / Paralympic Family, International Federations, Media, Marketing Partners, Hospitality, Workforce and Spectators.
Transport services are planned and delivered according to general Games stakeholder priorities. There are many sub-groups of Games stakeholders that need to be considered when developing the detailed operating plans. This role requires communication skills to support LA28’s overall interactions with Games stakeholders and knowledge of Stakeholder transportation operations. To achieve an integrated transport plan Stakeholder Services proactively contribute to transport service design activities by engaging with Stakeholders and collecting their requirements.
LA28’s Manager, Transportation Stakeholder Services will report directly to LA28’s Sr. Manager, Transportation, and will have a team of Associates who report directly to them
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the Transport functional area (FA) Principle and Detailed Service Level Agreements (PSLA & DSLA) in collaboration with Games Stakeholders and the Transport FA systems.
- Coordinate the review process and delivery timeline for the PSLA & DLSAs.
- Lead operational planning (human and physical resources) for the Transportation Stakeholder Services, including transport information desks at Games-time.
- Develop policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of Stakeholder Services Games-time operations.
- Contribute to the expansion of the Stakeholder Services team to support Games delivery, including defining roles and responsibilities, and identifying suitable candidates.
- Prepare communications and meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and presentation decks to support the development and refinement of transportation plans and systems.
Background & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in event transportation planning, operations, event/sports client management, stakeholder communications or similar preferred.
- Experience working in transportation service delivery or stakeholders for special events is beneficial.
- Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Aptitude for prioritizing and planning multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed, empowering others, and removing obstacles to get work done.
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and across all partner groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to educate others on complex technical concepts, and to lead, facilitate, and present to large and small groups.
- Ability to gather and assess data and produce technical reports and/or slide decks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to work on-site in an open office environment based in Los Angeles, CA Occasional field activities will require walking and/or climbing stairs
- Some tasks may require participating in early morning meetings (e.g., 7:00am or earlier) and/or late afternoon meetings (e.g., 6:00pm or later). Occasionally this role will join other leaders in evening dinners and/or receptions.
Position Requirements:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning or engineering, urban planning, or related field/equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning, design, construction, operations, and/or maintenance, particularly as a part of a public transportation agency capitol program and/or annual work plan, or similar field preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00-105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
