Senior Manager, Satellite Villages and Other Accommodation
LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.
Role Purpose
The LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games will house thousands of residents across satellite villages and other decentralized accommodation. This role helps stand up those operations from the ground up. Supporting the Director, you will turn venue agreements, budgets, and plans into sites that welcome athletes, workforce, and guests, with service standards that make each site feel ready and cared for.
Key Responsibilities
-
Support the Director in planning and delivering decentralized accommodation — budgets, project plans, Venue Use Agreements (VUAs), Venue Operational Plans (VOPs), and related documentation.
-
Coordinate operational readiness across sites: space allocation, equipment, technology integration, training, testing, simulations, and venue activation.
-
Build trusted relationships with venue owners, local authorities, accommodation partners, and Games functional areas, representing Satellite Villages in meetings and workshops.
-
Lead workforce planning across assigned sites — recruitment, onboarding, training, deployment, and day-to-day coordination of Managers and teams.
-
Serve as operational lead for assigned sites, overseeing resident services, arrivals and departures, key management, housekeeping and maintenance, and Games-time service delivery.
-
Manage risks, issues, reporting, knowledge management, and continuous improvement across the planning and delivery lifecycle.
Required Competencies
-
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, event, venue, accommodation, or operational delivery, with demonstrated success managing complex projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and cross-functional coordination.
-
Experience supporting large-scale events, major sporting events, multi-site operations, hospitality, accommodation, or venue-based environments, including budget planning, operational readiness, and project delivery.
-
Proven experience recruiting, onboarding, training, developing, and leading operational teams, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
-
Strong stakeholder management, communication, relationship-building, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with sound independent judgment; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools, including Smartsheet, SharePoint, Loop, and Teams.
Valued Experience
-
Experience with Olympic, Paralympic, or other major international sporting events.
-
Proficiency in one or more additional languages.
-
Experience delivering resident or guest services in a residential or hospitality setting.
What We Offer
-
A once-in-a-generation chance to help deliver the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
-
Real ownership of accommodation sites, with visible impact on the resident experience.
-
Exposure across venues, partners, and Games functional areas, with teammates who take pride in meaningful work.
What This Role Means for the Games
Satellite villages and decentralized accommodation house many of the people who power the Games. By readying these sites and the teams behind them, you help every resident arrive to a place that works and a genuine welcome.
