Associate, Broadcast Venue Planning

Los Angeles, California, United States

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

As Associate, Venue Planning and Operations, you help keep Broadcast Services venue workstreams moving as LA28 prepares to bring the Games to a global audience. You support venue planning leads by coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and following up with stakeholders so that nothing slips through the cracks. You keep decisions, notes, and status current across assigned venues, and help prepare the materials that cross-functional reviews depend on. It is an ideal role for someone organized, proactive, and eager to grow while contributing to a once-in-a-generation event.

Key Responsibilities

· Support venue planning leads by coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and following up with stakeholders to hold schedules.

· Maintain accurate notes, detailed decision logs, and current status trackers across assigned venues for the broader delivery team.

· Prepare materials for venue reviews and cross-functional check-ins, keeping key information organized, clear, and easily accessible.

· Flag open items and escalate emerging risks to venue planning leads promptly as they surface across workstreams.

· Keep venue information organized and readily accessible so the broader team can make decisions and move quickly.

Required Competencies

· 3+ years of coordination, operations, or project support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· Strong organization and consistent follow-through, keeping many parallel workstreams on track simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy or momentum.

· Clear written and verbal communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across interconnected venue workstreams.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, for day-to-day tracking and reporting.

· Comfort operating from incomplete information in a continually changing, cross-functional planning environment with shifting priorities and immovable deadlines.

Valued Experience

· Experience supporting venue, event, or broadcast operations in a coordinating role.

· Familiarity with overlay planning or venue planning processes.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products across day-to-day work.

· A proactive, detail-oriented approach to fast-moving, deadline-driven work.

What We Offer

· The opportunity to help deliver a once-in-a-generation Olympic and Paralympic Games.

· A collaborative, inclusive team guided by optimism, excellence, and co-creation.

· Genuine room to grow and take on responsibility as venue delivery ramps up.

· Work with lasting, visible impact on the Games and their legacy in Los Angeles.

What This Role Means for the Games

Broadcast venues only run smoothly when planning stays organized, current, and coordinated. By keeping meetings, decisions, and risks tracked carefully across venues, you help the planning team move quickly and deliver the coordinated venues that a seamless global broadcast depends on.
