Senior Product Designer

About the Role
As a senior product designer, you’ll create products for engineers and scientists working on the cutting edge of machine learning. You will be expected to utilize the full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills to create holistic, end-to-end experiences. Labelbox’s product design team is small and highly autonomous; you’ll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the culture, design systems, and future of the company. The position is located in the United States.
Your Day to Day
- Take ownership of design tickets - some may be loosely defined and some may have strict requirements
- Coordinate with product manager(s) to refine requirements for design tickets in order to design iteratively for Labelbox’s short-term and long-term strategies
- Work in tandem with the other designers at Labelbox to offer constructive design feedback and to ensure cross-platform consistency
- Take feedback effectively - you will participate in design reviews and collaborate with developers as they build your designs
- Iterate on designs in Figma that show a high level of craftsmanship
About You
- 4+ years of design experience at a product-driven company
- The ability to simplify complex tasks with effective design
- Strong proficiency in core design skills: sketching, wireframing, visual design
- A portfolio demonstrating your full design process
- Worked closely with developers to iterate on a product and see designs through to release
- Mindfulness of the impacts a single design can have on other product areas
Bonus Points!
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
- Previous design work on data visualization tools
- Experience managing and contributing to a design system
- You have coding chops and can help contribute to our front-end library
- Experience planning and performing user research
Labelbox strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected annual base salary range for United States-based candidates is below. This range is not inclusive of any potential equity packages or additional benefits. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.
Annual base salary range
$130,000 - $170,000 USD
