Role Overview
We're looking for a curious and driven Robotics Engineering Intern to join our team and help design, build, and test intelligent robotic systems. You'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers on projects that push the boundaries of autonomy, perception, and human-robot interaction.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about robotics who’s eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges and accelerate their learning in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Your Impact
- Contribute to the design, simulation, and prototyping of robotic systems
- Implement and test algorithms for motion planning, control, or sensor fusion
- Assist with hardware integration, calibration, and system debugging
- Analyze system performance and propose optimizations
- Document findings, share learnings, and collaborate cross-functionally
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Solid foundation in robotics principles such as kinematics, dynamics, control, and/or computer vision
- Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System), C++ and/or Python
- Comfortable working with hardware (sensors, actuators, embedded systems)
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and a willingness to learn
- Exposure to machine learning for robotics applications
- Past personal or academic projects in autonomous navigation, robotic arms, or mobile robots

This team owns the user experience and foundational systems that enable teams to label, manage, and optimize data at scale. With a focus on reliability, performance, and extensibility, LBx SF engineers operate at the intersection of backend systems, data operations, and customer-facing features, empowering enterprises and AI labs around the world to build smarter, faster, and more effectively.
Labelbox strives to ensure pay parity across the organization and discuss compensation transparently. The expected hourly rate range for United States-based candidates is below. Exact compensation varies based on a variety of factors, including skills and competencies, experience, and geographical location.

$35 - $40 USD
