Director, Technology

Responsibilities:

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Lead the effort to architect and design the strategic data platform for Lafayette Square.

· Evaluate various cloud-based data sourcing and data storage solutions and tools to build machine language and artificial intelligence features.

· Direct the design, implementation and large-scale integration of market data technologies and data models for various market data schematics.

· Manage the design and development of market and company data Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and services used by Lafayette Square using modular platform architecture using Java, Python and other cloud technologies like Amazon AWS.

· Lead the engineering and development of market data technologies to provide market data services to business groups for business analysis, business decision making, client prospecting, and resource planning.

· Lead software development team in developing scalable data platforms, diagnostic and reporting tool to assess the social impact of Lafayette Square’s investments.

· Coordinate business-aligned team to optimize market data usage and improve system design to satisfy the requirements of investment professionals, investor relations, and loan underwriting functions.

· Apply expertise in multithreading, process synchronization, and computer networks, machine learning, data science, utilizing object-oriented analysis, design

and programming, including Java, Python and C++ in Linux and Windows operating environments.

· Source, model, store and distribute real-time, historical, reference, analytics, and end-of-day data from Bloomberg, FactSet, Don & Brad Street using file feed and APIs to help in investing decisions, trading, and underwriting.

Requirements:

· U.S. Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

· Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

· Experience working on MVC architecture, service-oriented architecture, event based architecture and object-oriented design patterns.

· Expert level experience in AI infrastructures like AWS bedrock, Calude/Gemini and other LLM models.

· Experience in serverless technology like Azure Data Factory (ADF).

· Experience in developing enterprise-level reporting platforms.

· Experience in multithreading, process synchronization, and computer networks.

Compensation

$200,000 - $350,000 / year.
