Accounts Receivable Clerk/Collections

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk / Collections at our Sun Valley office.   This role involves processing and applying customer payments, reconciling customer accounts and investigate differences in payments, invoices, credits & outstanding balances.  Identify and resolve unapplied, partial, duplicate, and overpayments. Track returned payments and insufficient fund transactions.  Assist with daily deposit procedures, payment reconciliation, and month-end activities. Perform collections calls and emails.

SCHEDULE:   

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

WHAT L.A. HYDRO-JET NEEDS FROM YOU:

• Process and apply customer payments accurately
• Reconcile assigned customer accounts and invoices
• Handle multiple tasks and software systems simultaneously
• Upload and manage multiple accounts and ensure invoices are uploaded to the appropriate customer portals
• Follow up with customers on assigned overdue invoices and outstanding balances via phone or email
• Escalate significantly overdue accounts and unresolved disputes to management 

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-6 years of experience in accounts receivable, payment processing, billing.
• Experience in processing customer payments & reconciling customer accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to remain professional and calm when handling customer concerns
• Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, Service Titan & Quick Books experience preferred
• Experience submitting invoices through customer billing or vendor portals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly required to sit for extended periods
• Frequently required to use hands for typing and handling paperwork
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

L.A. Hydro-Jet & Rooter Service determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Pay for this position is $25-29/hr. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
