What you’ll do

  • Design, prototype, and develop bespoke typefaces for global clients, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
  • Manage the entire typographic creation process: concept, pitching, prototyping, development, production, and font mastering.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations (and pitches) showcasing the creative journey and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (strategists, brand designers, etc.) to seamlessly integrate typography into brand visual identities.
  • Maintain a high standard of execution, with meticulous attention to detail and typographic craftsmanship.
  • Stay up-to-date with branding and typographic design trends, contributing to team growth and innovation.
  • Develop and customize wordmarks in close collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Work with international teams to create multilingual fonts, ensuring consistency and quality across different writing systems.

 

What you’ll need

  • Extensive experience in type design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical skills and creative vision.
  • Proficiency in Glyphs (primary tool for typeface creation and production).
  • Mastery of typographic development stages: hinting, kerning, interpolation, and technical optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to clearly explain design choices and creative processes.
  • Strong knowledge of branding and typography as a tool for visual identity, with a strategic view of how type is used across various brand touchpoints.
  • Experience managing type design projects for global clients, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent command of the English language (essential for working with international teams and clients).
  • Ability to develop Latin typefaces; knowledge and design experience in multiple scripts is a plus.
