What you’ll do:
- Motion Design & Animation: Design and animate 2D motion assets across platforms (brand identity, social, content, UI/UX, presentations, film). Create compelling brand films, explainers, and campaign videos that bring visual identities to life.
- Video Editing & Film Craft: Lead editing of brand films, promotional videos, and social content. Strong ability in film/video editing, sequencing, pacing, and integrating footage with motion graphics.
- Scripting & Storytelling: Develop storyboards and scripts that connect brand strategy to film and motion. Ability to craft narratives, plan voiceovers, and align visual direction with messaging.
- Sound Design: Integrate sound design into films and animations—music selection, voiceover syncing, sound effects—to enhance storytelling.
- Production & Delivery: End-to-end ownership from ideation to final delivery, including packaging motion guidelines, toolkits, and templates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, strategists, and production teams to ensure films and motion work align with branding and business objectives.
What you’ll need:
- Core Motion Design Expertise: Multiple years of experience in 2D motion design and film/video editing, animation, or visual storytelling (agency, production, or broadcast background preferred). Strong portfolio showcasing brand-related motion work. Demonstrated understanding of animation principles, transitions, easing, and timing. Attention to detail in type, layout, and movement.). Strong portfolio showcasing brand films, animations, and edits.
- Brand Focus: Proven ability to translate brand identities into compelling films, videos, and motion graphics. Understanding of branding principles, not just execution.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. Ability to edit short-form video and apply basic sound design (music, VO syncing, sound effects). Comfortable working across formats (social, digital, video, environmental). Strong ability in editing workflows, colour grading, and sound integration.
- Bonus Skills & Emerging Tech: Experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, Redshift), prototyping tools (Rive, Lottie), Figma/UI/UX workflows, After Effects expressions/scripting (p5js), and interest in emerging motion/interactive technologies.
